The blues were used to describe the difficulty of life, also in the blues they used the A,A,B pattern, which in this song you might find a very similar pattern to it. Also in this song there is a mix of hip hop, it have a rhythm and a beat that repeat though out the song. Lyric:
Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone
'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone
Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone
Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there
You are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone...

Lyric:
Deep down Louisiana close to New Orleans,
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens...
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood,
Where lived a country boy name of Johnny B. Goode...
He never ever learned to read or write so well,
But he could play the guitar like ringing a bell.
(Chorus)Go GoGo Johnny GoGo GoJohnny B. Goode
He use to carry his guitar in a gunny sack
And sit beneath the trees by the railroad track.
Oh, the engineers used to see him sitting in the shade,
Strumming to the rhythm that the drivers made.
People passing by would stop and say
Oh my that little country boy could play
(Chorus)
His mother told him someday you would be a man,
And you would be the leader of a big old band.
Many people coming from miles around
To hear you play your music when the sun go down
Maybe someday your name will be in lights "Saying Johnny B. Goode tonight!"
Song # 3 ( From another language )
"emilie_simon_desert" (French)
Song name: Desert Time: 2004 Artist: Emilie Simon Genres: R&B
Synopsis:
Many people would ask, how is this song relate to African American music. However, even if the lyric or the word is not in English and many of us may not understand with out reading the translation. This song can be relate to African American music in other ways. For example, the beat and the rhythm is like R&B because of the A,A,B pattern that the first two stanza is the same and the last one is different. In this song, the first two stanza she repeat the same lines of asking a question, and the third one is answer to her self. Also the instruments in the background of the drum that sound like bongos and the flows of the beat is almost like a blues because the beat repeat the same and slowly. This is why the song related to African American music in a way, and I chose it because it make the audience want to listen to the song and think deeply to the background music to see the relationship.
Lyric: (French)
Il pleut
C'est malheureux
Il pleut depuis ce matin
Il veut
S'emparer de mon être
Sans paraître malhonnête
Il pleut
Dans ces gouttes de pluie
Mes doutes s'enfuient
Je ne m'ennuie plus
Il pleut
Mais ce n'est pas la pluie
Qui occupe mes nuits
Il pleut
C'est malheureux
Il pleut depuis ce matin
Il veut
Faire de moi une reine
Est-ce que j'en vaux la peine ?
Il pleut
Dans ces gouttes de pluie
Mes doutes s'enfuient
Je ne m'ennuie plus
Il pleut
Mais ce n'est pas la pluie
Qui occupe mes nuits
Lyric : (Enligh)
Where is sea ?
I don't know why I was just looking for the sea,
But the only thing I found was the desert,
A desert around me...
What can I see ?
You closed my eyes when I just need to go and see...
If you want me to be blind, I will stay here,
With this desert around me...
They would I can see is there nowhere land without you ?
I don't know where I go in the desert, in the desert... with you...
Where is sea ?
I don't know why I was just looking for the sea,
But the only thing I found was the desert,
A desert around me...
Where is sea ?
I'am alone, I'am dreaming of the sea,
But you're not here, next to me...
(Break)
They will I can see is there a nowhere land without you...
I do not where I go in the desert... in the desert,
With you....
